Supporting Families

Supporting Families gives parents every chance to raise their family income and reduce poverty. This is achieved by creating a pathway for future opportunities around upskilling and employment based on what individuals need to overcome barriers they face.

The target group is parents with a child in nursery transition to P1 or starting P1 and referrals come via schools.

Supported Employment

Supported Employment is for individuals who are aged 16+, have an additional learning need, and who are not currently in training, education or employment. Individuals are supported on a one-to-one basis by a key worker who helps them to develop a personal action plan aimed at breaking down barriers and progressing into employment – goals could be to independently travel, increase confidence and social interaction, or gain work experience.
