Our community survey ran between the 28th April and June 2nd and we gathered a total of 1,657 responses from Larkhall residents. Residents could complete the form online or use the paper version. We asked residents questions covering themes of: our town, health and wellbeing, transport, local services, community, and volunteering.
All Partners got involved in the campaign and through them we were able to reach a broad range of demographics in Larkhall.
- We reached communities and individuals in Larkhall by different means:
- Social media.
- Attending groups and events.
- Leaflets and posters
- Banners at main roads in and out of the town
- 1-1 conversations
Our survey also coincided with the Hamilton, Larkhall and Stonehouse Scottish Parliament by-election and we engaged with the candidates from the major parties. We invited all candidates from the major parties to meet us and find out more about our survey and the work of Larkhall Plan Partnership.
Attending the town’s Gala Day was crucial to meet folk and chat to them about the survey.
We analysed the results and created a report. From this, we have developed our next action plan to set the agenda for the Partnership over the next few years.
