We have a vision for Larkhall where people can meet and gather in the centre of the town in an accessible and vibrant space.
We are working with social enterprise INCH Architecture to reimagine King Street as a community space.
Our ambition is to create a town centre for Larkhall with seating, covered areas and plants for people to come together, whether as a meeting point or place to sit and relax.
King Street is an ideal location because it will connect the train station to Union Street and create a new set up for our town centre that is more accessible and inviting.
Here is an artist’s impression of what King Street could potentially look like.
We are seeking to agree the details with South Lanarkshire Council Roads and Planning before submitting a formal planning application. From there, we will seek funding to make it happen!
