Larkhall Plan Partnership (LPP) is encouraging all election candidates in our constituency to get behind our manifesto for Larkhall ahead of the Scottish Parliament election on Thursday 7 May.
The manifesto covers key areas devolved to the Scottish Parliament: economy, health, education, community and the third sector.

LPP are reaching out to all candidates to ask them to pledge their support and get their backing for the key asks in the manifesto.
LPP chair, Nancy Barr, said: “The manifesto has been created based on what people in Larkhall have told us matters to them in our surveys, at community council meetings, and conversations with folk every day. It’s an important part of our mission to highlight the voices of Larkhall residents.
“The response from the candidates will mean we can hold them accountable for the next five years as our elected members make crucial decisions which impact all of us.
“There are many challenges and opportunities over the next five years and we want to make sure Larkhall receives the right amount of investment in our services and amenities for our growing town.
“We look forward to hearing from all the candidates as part of a Q&A with each one and we will share their responses on our website so residents can see what each candidate is offering our town.”
I agree with the plans for Larkhall I just hope they are delivered.
I think we should also add supporting Larkhall Thistle Community F.C which has over 300 local kids that use this facility to play football. The Community side of Larkhall Thistle is a registered charity and they need help in developing and maintaining Raploch for future generations to enjoy. Whilst teams pay enormous amount of money for the astro at Larkhall Academy an astro park at Raploch would be hugely beneficial.
Aswell the use of more facilities for young people to enjoy in a safe environment and reasonable prices.
Your comments are welcome Lisa same as it’s been for many many years in larky no facilities for indoor training etc and no floodlights for a outdoor Astro pitch Hamilton has a few but larkhall zilch been like that for many years maybe SLC not interested in helping larkhall IMO
You need to use less jargon and explain terms such as ‘third sector . Your only clear statement refers to the running track.
Hi Carole, thanks for your feedback. ‘third sector’ essentially means charities. It’s a broad term and can also include community groups and volunteers who are not registered charities but are making a difference in communities. It is the ‘third’ sector to distinguish it from the private and public sector but it is equally, if not more, important.
Concil SLC getting 15 million extra in funding but from what I’ve seen were not going to see many benefits. So where’s all the money going ? Unsafe roads no markings at junctions. More to Donation than topping up employees salaries . Also council tax risen again above inflation?????
Get a bank reopened, Larkhall is growing and difficult to get money or cheques paid.
