A New Era for Trinity Church as New Owners Move in

The new owners of Trinity Church have moved in and invite residents to share their memories of the building and what their ideas for its future. 

New owner, Sarah Hunt,  said on Facebook: “ I wasn’t planning to buy it but was concerned that such a beautiful and important building would continue to sit there being unused. I’m afraid we’re just normal people. I’ve been in Scotland for over 30 years (almost 5 of them in Larkhall) after growing up in Rossett, in Wales. So I love the mining and manufacturing history of the Larkhall area – we’re a town of grafters.

“There’s a real sense of community here – we’re one of the few towns that doesn’t have endless boarded up shops – you can walk and buy meat from the butchers that has been there for decades, get paint from the hardware shop and visit Burns the Stationers who have been there since the 1870’s.

“On Friday we did our first shift of dusting and mopping with daffodils as it was St David’s Day yesterday – overalls were on and my colleague Brian took part in the first action shot! Lots of information to share with you, including our aims so will add more posts over the next few days as we have a lot of people to thank already and hopefully Trinity Home adds to the community heartbeat. Larkhall is a thriving community and we need to celebrate that.”
